Baderup
I have here a Dell Dimension E310 desktop. It has a card reader installed on the front of the case. I popped a camera card in and it says USB device is unknown blah blah blah... said something about it being corrupt and the possibility of having to replace the hardware. I went on Dell's website doesnt look like there are any drivers for these card readers, or for USB devices at all....Any suggestions? Boris
Silly question ..... but did you put the card in the right slot (and the right way up) ?Extract from Troubleshooting: CAB-200 Dell Media Card Readerhttp://support.dell.com/support/edocs/acc/.../en/trouble.htmIf mini-SD media is being used.mini-SD media must be inserted with the contacts facing up and the card inserted into the upper left corner of the correct slot. If MMC Micro, Memory Stick micro, or micro-SD media is being used. The "micro" media formats all require adaptors for the media to fit in the card reader. When you insert the media in the adaptor, it should properly fit into the slot as if it were a larger form-factor media.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Most devices that need non-standard (non-Windows) device drivers usually come with a driver disk. Didn't your card reader?Anyway, the best thing I know to find almost any driver on the planet is http://www.drivermax.com/ (download and install it).
