With selected open standards this web service allows users to participate in a pear-to-pear network only using a web browser. Hb_Kai
So it's a new Limewire...Any P2P network will rapidly change into a music/movie piracy source for the "pirates" to feed on no matter how new it is.
Hb_Kai
Also, after reading this. The thought of a "Browser-based P2P" seems quite unsafe...I don't think I would trust it at all, but then again I could be wrong.
bochiman
Also, after reading this. The thought of a "Browser-based P2P" seems quite unsafe...I don't think I would trust it at all, but then again I could be wrong. The user have to allow file requests from other computers. LittleShoot protects shared files with an unique SHA-1 hash. Security issues and computer protection methods are very well detailed in a comprehensive documentation of the service. Hb_Kai
But to every security measure there's a weakness. They thought there was no possible way of getting the same md5 hash of two different files but some team of people still done it. :DIt's just up to the hackers to exploit its weaknesses, an newer version comes out, that gets exploited, effectively hackers are a warning that nearly nothing is secure enough to rely on apart from your own mind which still in turn has weaknesses...
