catgate Posted December 6, 2008 Report Share Posted December 6, 2008 A friend came to see me the other day and confronted me with something that was entirely new to me (well I have led a very sheltered life).He said, "What is all this on this CD?""There were four files with "cdrxxxx" file names .gho extensions. So I went and googled, and was led to the conclusion that they were a Norton/Symantic creation. I was also led to the conclusion that Norton/Symantic would be needed to read what was in them. Hb_Kai Posted December 6, 2008 Report Share Posted December 6, 2008 .gho files are the Norton Ghost files, I'm not sure about the cdrxxxx files, but I think they are something to do with the program emulation.I think the only way you'd be able to open them to read what's inside them is obviously opening them in notepad, but then a load of useless characters would come up that way, you can try converting them to .txt.
