BSOD to do with amount of RAM?

Hi there

I have just finished building my latest computer. On it im running Vista Home Premium 64bit. Everything has been running fine untill recently I had a BSOD error and system restart when i was using skype. I ran skype fine, logged in and then just as the call i was making connected the Blue screen came up. I have since noticed this error with a number of other programs, including a few games. Thinking i might have done something wrong with the build i removed all but 2gb of the RAM and tried again. This seemed to work and so far using only 2gb of RAM i havnt run into the same problem.

I had the error with programs that say they are Vista 64bit compatible and also with programs im not sure if they are compatible with 64bit. Although it seems unlikely to me that not being compatible with Windows 64bit would cause a BSOD?

I did some google research and found people who had a similar message on their Blue screen error, possibley cause under similar circumstances.

Here is a picture of the BSOD:

My system specs are:

Asus x58 P6T-Deluxe motherboard

Core i7 920 CPU @ 2.66

6GB (3 x 2gb) Patriot DDR3 1600 RAM

SLi'ed 280gtx's

Any help is greatly appriciated!

Thankyou in advance and Merry Christmas to all!
