I guess I have picked up something because I cannot go to different sites online and also cannot go to any Microsoft sites. it just sits and finally times out. Other sites are fine but I went ahead and wiped my harddrive out by the dell way and when I got back up couldnt go to windows updates to update the computer. It did some automatically then got to KB954430 update for MS SML core services 4.0 service pack 2 and it stalled their keeps trying to install that one. I have installed MalwareRemover, Spyware Doctor and winsockxpfix and none of them have done any good. I run Avg 8.0 antivirus program and I have run out of options, Can someone help me Would really appreciate it, my Dell support has run out of course or would call them. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Belatucadrus Posted December 28, 2008 Report Share Posted December 28, 2008 wiped my harddrive out by the dell wayCould you outline what this entailed, as Dell use a few different recovery systems and most would have the same effect as a reformat which would have totally eliminated any nasties on the drive, this would explain why the security software isn't finding anything.
