Welcome to the Windows Forum.

But sorry, I cannot understand your question.

Ok sorry, Well basically there is a check box missing from this screen. there are supposed to be 2 boxes to check, but there is only 1 as you can see. The missing box is supposed to have the text, "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity."

So basically im asking you how to put the 2nd box back.

If you right click on the item in the notification area you'll see options to repair & disable. Try repair to see if the check box comes back (you may have to re-start for it to take effect). Then disable if repair doesn't work. Let us know what happens.

Hmmm well what you suggested didnt work, but i think i found the problem. I have 2 network cards and the way i have it set up is: my cable modem goes into local area connection 1. then i have a cord going from local area connection 2 to my wireless router. Then i bridge those 2. Basically connection sharing in a strange/complicated way.

Anyway all i had to do was take the 2 connections out of the bridge and those boxes come back.

too bad i cant have them bridged if i want to get rid of those annoying balloons. anyway thanks for the help guys.

SOLVED... sorta
