Dencandy Posted January 14, 2009 Report Share Posted January 14, 2009 Unfortunately Microsoft have included a questionable Optional update in their latest batch of releases (13th January). This lists IdeaCom HID Touch Screen PS/2 as an optional update even if you don't have an IdeaCom touchscreen & have never even heard of it (like me). If you do make the mistake of installing it you may find your mouse or touch pad stops working, as these unfortunate people did HERE (from DSLReports).Another boo-boo from Microsoft, unfortunately. It's probably preparation for Windows 7 which will offer touch-screen control as a standard, I believe. You can find some more complaints on Yahoo! Answers (ANSWERS) & solutions to the problem.
