donk
I have an acer aspire 5000, the wireless does not work. Have tried downloading the drives from acer america. All the drives from that site seem to work except the wireless. I get an error message cannot read file. I went into the files and found a misspelled word, corportation which is spelled "corporatio". Anyway, long story short, I can't get the wireless utility to work, and yes it's in the activated position, Problem being there is nothing to activate. I did however download the drive from another site, but it still does not work. Thanks for any help that may be given. DonkPS, I have also posted in Tech Support Forum under "broadcom 802.11", just thought I'd throw that in. Usually it's one post, one forum, but I am short on time and any help from anywhere is what is needed wright now. The computer is needed by Tuesday. Thanks
Hb_Kai
I had a similar problem with the same wireless card once before. Here is the post I made. Maybe something there can help you. --- http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?s...amp;hl=broadcomAnyway, what the problem there was that the wireless card isn't useable with a WPA PSK wireless encryption, so it could be that.
