poolmon
After an install of .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 Update (which added Microsoft XPS as a printer option), my local printers will not work, but my network printer will. They all worked prior to the update. I sucessfully did a system restore and the update and XPS are gone, but local printers still won't print.I noticed that in the Printers & Faxes tab the network printer's status shows "Ready" whereas my 2 local printers show "offline" after starting the computer. Even if I click on the local printers, and change them to "online" status, the print jobs make it to the print que but will not print. The job returns a "print error" message on my screen. Anyone got an idea on how to get these local printers to startup in the "online" status and print like they used to?Thanks
rong
One thing you could try is uninstalling them and then let them install themselves again
