Running GtkRadiant

I'm trying to run software called GtkRadiant on my Ubuntu laptop and it doesn't seem to be working properly.

I tried it on Vista last night to make sure it wasn't Ubuntu and it worked OK too, but I don't want to be using Vista anymore.

I know I need the following packages installed on the system:

X11

OpenGL

Gtk/pango/cairo

gtkglext

expat

but I don't know how to see if I have them installed already. I think I have X11 and OpenGL, but not sure about the others. But that's the only reason I think it's doing this.

The problem is that I can't see the screen/map when I'm using the program unless I drag something over the map on the mouse which then it flickers on and off.

Anyway, this is a screenshot of what comes up.

But not exactly. Take out all the detail of that and have blank white spaces - that's the only screenshot I could find.

this might help you

To know if you have a a package installed :

dpkg -l name_of_package

btw- X11 is not a package , you do have it installed , look in your /etc dir
