Rickp400 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Share Posted February 12, 2009 i recently discovered on the microsoft sitethe SteadyState is my inquiry of iti see it will work for Xp and vista 32bbut i have 2 other computers that has vista 64band will not work and support that what i like about the SteadyState that is used bynetworking administrator to protect and have efficient network service they dothis is what i like it to put in analogy form close i can describe itwork like a egg shell for this os and drive from what i seen on xp oseven you can download and install in it but if you restart the computerw/disk protection turn on __ when you restart your computer it will putin the state that was before the download as well whatever adjustmentalso it removed the installation file and downloadand i like it to be able to use it on my 64b vista which not availableand if anyone has any suggestion something similar that it will workfor the 64b vistai have already done research and microsoft for whatever reason has notmade it for the 64b vista and it is available for XP and Vista 32b accordingthe window forum it has be more than 8 months no development for the 64b ====================================================also any information of site info or complaint or red flags looking for the software that will prompt me the site i visit is of question or red flag like it has possible virus and or hack link or somethingbecause i had a recent attack on my xp os on my older computer and i went through a pain pulling my hair out to get this fix and i will reinstall later with format soon but i have done the os restore but i still dont fell like it secure for the moment this got me so volcanicaly upset and mad and what can i do otherthan fix it to get it back the way it was and i am not using that pc too much until i have the time get it back in a good state that is why i am interested in the SteadyState that it works for the xp i have and i install it on long after i done the os restore i wish i had known about SteadyState and installed it before the attack this would have save me alot of chaos after what i went through Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's also something similar called Deep Freeze.To give you warnings about possible malicious websites, try Web of Trust (WOT) or McAfee SiteAdvisor (SiteAdvisor).
