DustyVR Posted February 15, 2009 Report Share Posted February 15, 2009 This may sound like a weird request, but I have two boots on one computer and I was wondering how I would delete one so that there was only one left. I tried formatting the one, but it won't allow me to because of the other part of the computer needing the drive. If I've confused anyone I'm sorry :P I'll try to put a description below.When I start up there are two choices for two bootsWINDOWS XP HOMEWINDOWS XP HOMEuse your arrow to choose your start upI have no idea how this happened, but I don't need two boots Now my other problem is my CD drive won't read disks so I can't do anything that way.Thanks for any help anyone can give me! Rickp400 Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 i adise you to make back up all your data and downloaded software that you have stored on your HDD and take note all licesne and key code for reinstallation of your software that you have added and burn your data and downloaded files to a disc and do a full restore and put the disc in and restart your computer and when the disc prompt press any key and this will go into restore Warning all data will be erase that is why i advise backing up data and files and when you have got your window running smoothly got your updates from microsoft and the manufacture of the computer you have and resinstall your software and data good luck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
