It appears to have a 320gig HD partition with a C & D drive(see pic).Number of Disk Controller : 1Number of Hard Disk : 1Number of CD-ROM Drive : 1Drives Letters : C:\ D:\ E:\Drive C: (Hard Disk) : 9 GB available on 47 GBDrive D: (Hard Disk) : 259 GB available on 264 GBDrive E: (DVD-Rom) : 0 KB available on 3 GBWhat is mostly filling the OS "C" drive was already there...I did add a couple of games. So my question is when it fills up will apps flow over to the "D" drive? I realize I can direct them to the D drive but many appear needed to be placed in folders like "Proram Files" & "Pictures" etc. with resides in the OS "C" drive. IMTNT Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 It's actually a good idea to have a separate partition from your OS.Should the OS partition become corrupted, your other partition can be saved.I keep photos, music and other valuables on the D partition, it would save alot of time should I need to reinstall the OS. unsure Posted February 16, 2009 Author Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 Well as usual I mess up thing pretty good. After the changes it tried to reboot but couldn't. It tried to repair....couldn't then looked for a restore point but its a new LP so there wasn't one. You can use it to store your data (documents, pictures, music), and you can use it as a backup partition. The way you have repartitioned it does not look useful to me. Also, you can probably remove many useless data from the OS partition using http://www.ccleaner.com/P.S. please upload images and screenshots directly here at the forum, rather than at 3rd-party websites.
