savak
HI allI have this problem with Outlook and Outlook Express of emails having been composed appear being sent, I can view them in my Sent folder, the Outbox is empty. So all appears fine so far, but no one gets my emails yet I recieve emails from other people ok.Both programs have been setup correctly following instructions about servers etc. My web browers work fine, i have no viruses etc. everything else is fine.I have uninstalled bot Oulook and Outlook Express, restarted, reinstalled and still have the same problems. The boffins at my place of work are of no use. What else can I try/do?My last resort is to rebuild the system from scratch. All help welcome.Graeme
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Reinstalling your mail client or operating system will not help; you need to try to find out why your mail is not delivered. Two possibilities I can think ofspam filters blocking your mailmalware on your system eating your mailFrom where (mail server, ISP) are you sending your mail? That may give us a clue. Can you send a test message to me? I will include a little image below with my email address (so that harvesting bots cannot pick the address up). savak
Hi PatI've sent an email @09.01 this morning. I doubt you will get it.I am behind a University firewall, having said that no one internally gets my emails either (they must'nt be that important!)As I said browsing is fine and my uni browser email works fine but I have several accounts I keep track of in Outlook that requires responses.I'll check for malware etc.GraemeReinstalling your mail client or operating system will not help; you need to try to find out why your mail is not delivered. Two possibilities I can think ofspam filters blocking your mailmalware on your system eating your mailFrom where (mail server, ISP) are you sending your mail? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You are right - I didn't get it.But now I just remember that the address I gave you has very strong spam filtering active. Can you send me one more test message to my Gmail.com account; it starts with [deleted] in front of the @ mark. The Gmail account has spam filtering, but I can see all messages in the Junk mail folder. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Indeed, I did not get it.Now the only thing I can think of is that something goes wrong on the outgoing mail server. Is there any way you can check with the mail admin?
Dencandy
Can you send mail directly from the same email providers using their own log-on page rather than via Outlook & OE?
