metallica Posted March 7, 2009 Report Share Posted March 7, 2009 i am using windows vista home premium,for installing linux i partitioned my hard disk using disk management,and i guess something went wrong ,now it is showing 5 partitions namely:1. (C:)187.67 GB NTFS(healthy system,boot,..,primary partition)2. (D:)34.90 GB NTFS(healthy system)3. 34.80 GB Unallocated 4. 30.30 GB Freespace5. (E:)10.42 GB NTFS(healthy partition)HP Recovery.but in my computer it shows only 3 partitions namely:1. Local Disk C: 187 GB2. Local Disk D: 34.9 GB3. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted March 8, 2009 Report Share Posted March 8, 2009 There are only three partitions on your disk. 34.8GB are completely unallocated, and 30.3GB are allocated, but not formatted. So you have about 65GB unused space on your HD. You can use some advanced partition management system to either make them into 1 or 2 additional partitions, or you can merge that space with other existing partitions (D: and/or E:).
