rune79
Hi,I have this problem that I can't figure out to solve by my self, and I have not found any acceptable solution else where on other forums or any third party software that could solve it. So, I really hope that someone in here can help me out, as this is probably a common Vista problem. So, what happened was:I had a backup application that should make me a backup in a folder on the Desktop, for later to burn it on a DVD. The application also included a copy of the Desktop folder in the backup folder, so what have happened now is an eternal loop (Desktop-> with the backup folder-> with the Desktop folder-> backup->...) that makes many applications crash (virus scanner, malware scanner etc.) and I can't figure out how to delete it. So, if anyone have an easy solution on this one, besides formating the whole system, please help.Kind regard Rune
Seshomaru Samma
Have you tried uninstalling that backup program? If after uninstalling that program you still cannot delete those files , you can use an application called FileASSASSIN , it will allow you to delete anything. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Obviously this software is not very clever; backing up its own backup should never happen.Use the standard Windows backup tool, which automatically excludes backup file, or a professional backup tool such as Acronis True Image.P.S. also, backing up to the Desktop is not a very good move; better back up to some drive root such as C:\
