SAS
Hi,Looked everywhere for a download of XP pro SP2. Apple instuctions specify that I need this to install Wins on my Apple laptop. I have an extra XP pro installation disk without the SP2. I was thinking that I could download the software and burn a disk on my computer and install it on my Mac. When it asked for the code, I would use my purchased XP pro key. I have found xp pro SP3 on the Microsoft site but not SP2. Thanks in advance,Steve
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
XP SP2 has been superceded by SP3, so Microsoft does no longer offer SP2 for download.P.S. not quite true what I wrote earlier: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...45-9E368D3CDB5A

It wants a genuine xp pro sp2 installation disk. I called microsoft to order a cd but they don't support XP. Any ideas for getting a guenuine xp sp2 disk. As I said before I have an extra xp pro disk, but it does not have sp2. I don't want to spend 100 bucks or more to get another OS disk. Thanks,Steve
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You mean that you need a Windows XP installation disk (rather than just the service pack)? If so, you will need to purchase a new license from Microsoft.

But the apple instructions specifically states that I cannot use this disk without the sp2 on the same disk. If I have to purchase another one for 100+ bucks, forget it. disgusted,Steve
