When I added an additional 2GB RAM the system crashed with a memory DUMP and Rebooted. My system has dual Boot with Windows XP .The same 4GB of RAM works fine when I boot in Windows Xp. Please Help. All i know right now is that all the versions of windows afterwards the 2003 based systems like server 2003 and vista, they all got problems with 3+ GB of RAM. Again, microsoft didnt accept their fault and always use to put the blame on the motherboards. I also got to know about this problem when i actually bought the extra RAM. Microsoft released a patch for this problem, but it was a waste. Google down this problem and you will see thousands of people asking for help regarding this. Hb_Kai Posted April 17, 2009 Report Share Posted April 17, 2009 I'm not too sure how correct this is but, I've always thought and heard similarly that any 32bit Windows OS has a RAM limitation of 2 or 3GB. Anything that exceeds the limitation is obsolete (useless and unused). 64bit Windows operating systems will allow exceeded amounts of the 32bit limitation.But like I said, you may ought to look this up unless someone else can you tell here because I'm not sure.
