Operating System not loading

hi, I have a dual boot HD (ubuntu and windows xp) so yesterday I decided to make an upgrade to my desktop, I changed mother board, ram and video card, when I turned on the pc everything start great but when the screen of windows xp loading is supposed to appear instead a blue screen is shown, it goes very quickly so I have no Idea what it says, and then the pc restart automatically.

I boot a live disc of ubuntu and it ran normally so I assume the new hardware is working fine.

If anyone have an idea of why this is happening please help me out.

I assume the second time XP boots normally. I think that what's happening is that for some reason, on the first boot XP is crashing almost immediately then re-starting correctly. To help find out what's causing the crash check in Event Viewer as soon as you computer has successfully booted. To find Event Viewer go to Control Panel > Performance & Maintenance > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer, then examine all 4 logs for records of the crash. Right click any that you find & see what you can find out.

I think you'll find this problem is caused by your hardware changes & XP is still configured for the old set-up. Sometimes XP can cope with such changes, sometime it can't. You might only be able to solve this by re-installing XP, so, if you haven't already done so, make back-ups of you important data to prepare for this.

A repair install of Windows may also fix the problems with the new devices.
