silver
Okay, so my question is this: let's say I have jjust placed an order on a website and then the next day or whatever, I go and use Disk CleanUp. Given that Disk CleanUp cleans up temporary files, does that mean it erases the order that I placed???
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Why do you think that cleaning up your temporary files would erase an order that you have placed on a website? Assuming that they have already sent you a confirmation email, do you think they would just forget your order because of your disk cleanup? Dencandy
I think silver is referring to a copy of the order that he made on his computer. What I normally do is save a copy of such orders & store them in separate file. I use "Save As..." from the File at top left of Menu Bar. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Serious web business companies send an email confirmation as soon as a transaction is complete, so there is (theoretically) no need to save a copy of the confirmation page. Of course it will be good to have if something goes wrong, so for this case it is better saved elsewhere than the Temp folders...
