Hb_Kai
Yo people. :)I'm looking for some software that can record what I'm doing on the screen mainly for gaming but I don't know what's good and would rather know before downloading and wasting loads of time finding crap stuff.I've heard of Fraps - http://www.fraps.com/ - not sure if it's what I'm looking for but does anyone know anything either about this or any other software I could use? ishanjain
There you are... you have the answer...I have been using fraps for long time now and it is a perfect software. For recording windows screens, you can go for camstudio.

Josiah
You know what, fraps never worked for me. I have no idea why.
Raddy
I use Fraps and it's pretty easy to use. You just install it and you bind a key to turn on recording (F9 by default). It then records and dumps the video file to a folder until you tell it to stop. The only issue is that it doesn't do on-the-fly video compression, so videos are typically a few gigs in size, depending on how long the recording is. pewpewmarc
I've never encountered frapsĀ before. But if you're looking for a software that can capture your screen while playing, you can try OBS Studio. It's also good for streaming.
