Windows Vista recording left ear not right !

Hello,

Well, I use Vista Ultimate and every thing works fine! I installed no software for audio as it can automatically with my Windows when I installed Windows, it detected automatically!

The only problem is when I try to record my vocals through my microphone! It only gives up left ear not right !

It means that when I play back my recorded file, it only gives up voice in left ear, and not in right !

now you might think it's a problem of my headphone or some thing? Well when I play some other music or voice chat it gives up the voice in two ears !

I don't know., but my friend says that when i do voice chat with him, he can get my voice in both ears !

But when I record in my computer? I only get in left ear !

As I use a laptop, there is a built in microphone as well! but I used the plug one with head phone ! so I disabled the one built in!

Just for testing purpose, I unpluged my plugged mic and activated the mic which is built in and tried to record and what I get?

I get vocal in Right not in left ! !!!!

This is quite interesting, without changing any setting or any thing! When I record with built in mic, it gives up right ear and when I do with plugged one It gives up left ear!

This is really ammazing! I need some help! I might need to change some setting??

Welcome to the Forum, Faisal Tasleem. Have you checked all your audio settings? To find them: Control Panel > Sounds, Speech & Audio Devices > Sound & Audio Devices. You'll find many settings there that might be the cause of this. Look especially at Audio > Sound Recording and Speaker Settings > Advanced. Also check your sound device drivers are working properly.
