Boris Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 As far as I understand it, Windows Movie Maker can only export video in Windows Media formats or DV AVI.Apple's iMovie and iDVD don't support AVI as in input format. Before playing an AVI file with these applications, you'd have to convert it to a supported input format, like Quicktime (.mov).I'll try and find some free software that does this.Perhaps someone else here can recommend something that does the conversion ? catgate Posted April 22, 2009 Report Share Posted April 22, 2009 I offer you this as a thought....nothing more. Firefox has a Download Helper, and in that helper is a video format converter. I have used it in Ubuntu to convert avi to Mpeg/MP3. I would imagine that since FF is also Windows compabible is should work.
