nickster Posted May 6, 2009 Report Share Posted May 6, 2009 Is there a way to prevent unwanted entries from being placed in the Domains section of the registry. Most are either porn, gambling, or variations of correctly-spelling websites? I have examined my registry and there are 5 or 6 "DOMAINS" sections, each having almost exactly the sames hundreds of entries. The only way I know to remove them is by manually deleting each one. -pops- Posted May 6, 2009 Report Share Posted May 6, 2009 Before you go on a deletion rampage, ensure that these entries aren't markers for anti-malware software you have installed.I know someone who deleted the whole of his A squared and Spybot S&D database one by one not realising what the entries were.They may, of course, be what you think they are but check carefully first. I do look at each one. If the entry has even part of a name of a program I want, I leave it. It seems that most of the one-letter off fraud site names have "IT" and the domain name (Italy?)
