kiddd_ Posted May 14, 2009 Report Share Posted May 14, 2009 Ok so I'm running Windows XP Professional but I wanted to try out Linux Ubuntu.I had created another partition of 20 gb for it.I didn't like it so I got rid of it.The thing is : now when I'm starting my computer I'm being asked if I wanna run Windows or Ubuntu ( even if Ubuntu does not exist no more ).My question : how do I get rid of this booting question in order to run Windows without being asked anything at all ? I find it really annoying...I tryed out a few stuff from Hiren's CD ( ver. 9.7 ) and I also tryed a few things by executing "msconfig" from the BOOT.INI section ( I can see it : C\wubildr.mbr="Ubuntu" ) but I cand delete it just like that.Pleaseeeeee help !ps : until now I couldn't even run windows because the system was looking for "grub" to boot , but I managed to solve it out with a simple "fdisk".Thank you !
