-pops-
Did you burn it as an ISO file? This is essential for it to work. There is an ISO burning facility in Nero and you get get ISO burning software by Googling http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=iso+burne...nGB177&aq=t
john84
hi yes i tried nero and a program called iso burning but still wont boot from disc
-pops-
Hmmm......Try this http://www.ntfs.com/iso_burner_free.htm but first, there are instructions provided on the Product Key pages that you get with the download. Did you print these out? The disk creation instructions are step 2 and installation step 3.
Boris
Probably a stupid question ??? ........... but have you changed your BIOS to boot from the DVD rather than from the Hard Drive ?
john84
yes tried the active iso burner still no luck also changed to boot from cd
-pops-
You seem to have tried everything that comes immediately to mind. What I think now is that you may have a corrupt download.Have you followed the instructions given by MS in respect of preparing the disk etc. that comes with the Product Key? Not that there is anything out of the ordinary about the install. Can you give some more details of the machine you are trying to install W7 on to? Guest stickman
is it a original copy or has it been copied as sometimes the whole of the original disc is not transferred to tne new disc?
