nickster
A few of my desktop icons are inaccessible. Right clicking and selecting delete, gives the message: "Cannot delete file: cannot read from the source file or disk"Trying to open the files is giving another "cannot access" message as well. I wonder if the "gxvxc" process is causing this. I had trouble removing gxvxc entries from my registry.
-pops-
If you just want to hide them from view, drag to the unused desktop icons folder.Be careful if you continue to try to delete them - you can cause lots of damage to your system if you are uncertain as to what to do to remove them. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
The icons you can't delete - are they desktop shortcuts, or genuine desktop items like the Recycle Bin, etc? Also, what is "gxvxc" - sounds like something nasty...?
