Kloppstock
I have the last year received a mysterious issue with all picturefolders in 'size larger' on my computera syndrome that appears to get worse in etaps for every windows reinstallation i makethese folders freeze up for atleast 30 sec everytime when trying to open the main folder, then it releaseopen!!! it once inside all subfolders goes fast thouIt started with only 1 picfolder, clearly debuted with the new windows reinstallation i hade to make (third XP installation away from my current) then i started to see a patter when the second reinstall from now caused the same, just on another hardrive and its largest picfolder, and now yesterday it closed the circle with the last harddrive i have excluded C:\So the 3 folders on D:\ E:\ F:\ acts permanent slowed, i see this when i have just installed winodws and not installed anything at all, so we can exclude that its something that comes with installationsthe really interesting thing is that these folder opens fast in safe mode both as admin and my current profile, but it cant be normal just throu a standard login, any ideas what this is trying to say?It doesnt help to sett he folders to list instead of thumbs, it doesnt help to defrag the drives (unless "Perfect disc" was contraproductive and have packed it to this slowdown) it doenst helpto move the content to a new folder, so the slow follows in the jpgs themself(Edit) One thing i can see now is that the "compress" feat i have enabled for this folders have done a minor effect, a blue folder opens 10 sec faster now, but its still 10 seconds to mutchto have as slowdown when you hade zero before, and i wanna understand what the trigger isMy largest pic folder is on 24 Gb, and that have not been a problem earlier
