Eugen
I have Windows XP SP3 and IE8,Mozilla Firefox 3.0.10 installed to my compiuter. Also I have an Internet connection with 2 GB limit.I downloaded a movie so my 2GB finished.I also have an dial-up modem which I use with my telephone number to get access to the internet. When my limit is finished I tried to go to my preferred page www.youtube.com but instead of that appeared a page from my Internet provider that my limit is over. Now when I try to connect to www.youtube.com with my dial-up modem it always redirect me to the page of my Internet provider. When I try to use IE8 it opens Firefox at the same page so I can't connect to www.youtube.com.The other links and pages are ok and I can surf normally. Can you help me to connect to www.youtube.com? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I think your best option is to change ISP; I thought that practice of limiting bandwidth went out of fashion around the 1990s. (Just curious: what is that 2GB limit: per day, per hour, per minute?)
Mlaningham
Wow this is definitely old school. Where are you living that they still do this? If its the same ISP (Dialup, and your 2GB limited ISP), then its likely its checking the gateway your hitting, then causing a redirect. More than likely something on their end. I'd definitely be making my way off of this ISP ASAP! Good luck!

Sbrideau
About that ISP discussion, even in Canada there are some. I'm currently with an ISP that has a limit, while a good speed, I have a limit of 60GB. I think 2GB is really too small for a month though, that's about what I use daily(Yes, I browse and play a lot on the internet). This is sometimes a good compromise to have a limit though. I chose this one becaues it's 7 times faster and $30 less expensive than the one that doesn't have a limit.About that youtube problem, I'm really not sure what could be doing that.
