Amy Posted June 29, 2009 Report Share Posted June 29, 2009 ok i have a dilemma. i have some burnable cds with pictures on them that i desperatley want but everytime i put them in the computer essentially crashes. it works for a little bit but dosent load the pictures at all then just messes up and everything on the screen dissapears cept the wallpaper. and wont come back up until i remove the disk.any advice? -pops- Posted June 29, 2009 Report Share Posted June 29, 2009 Have you tried viewing the pictures on another computer?If there is the same problem with all computers then the disk is faulty and I don't think there is a lot that can be done to remedy that.If the disks are OK on other machines, a replacement of the CD/DVD drive looks the only viable answer.You could try copying the contents of the disks on to a file on the hard drive and reading from there as a quick fix.
