aybsee Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 I have, for the last 2 days tried to install an update which has failed repeatedly.I have followed the troubleshooting tips and installed the System Update Readiness Tool from windows,which i used but still cannot finish installing the update. aybsee Posted October 23, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 23, 2009 I have tried it again without the firewall,with no success.I have found that in total i had 4 updates, that consisted of 3 optional updates and 1 important.The 3 optional updates were fine and its only the important update that keeps failing.That update is Security Update for Windows Vista (KB961371).Any help appreciated.thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When i restarted my pc after the update,I notice that the " New updates are available" icon is still showing.When clicked it shows the original update that i am having the problems with as ready to be installed.As i've already updated this manually,how do i delete the original one,thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
