Chewie
Thanks. No, when i try that i just get to the startup screen. And sometimes i get past that. Then i get this message: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install windows, click "ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."When i click ok, its the same all over again.Welcome to the Windows Forum.Do you have an install disk? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Do you have any other bootable disk that you could use to reformat your install partition? I think that Gparted can run from a bootable disk.
AlanHo
Have you checked the BIOS to ensure that the DVD drive is first priority.......The power outage may have disturbed the boot sequence and the computer is accessing the hard drive first.
