doug
I've suddenly lost my save and quit option in firefox 3.5.5 and running XP SP3. It's become a nuicance because I usually have several Tabs open at once. Any suggestios please.
-pops-
Is there more than one instance of Firefox running, doug? The "Save" only functions with one Firefox page open - remember multiple pages might be hidden.

doug
That solved it pops, don't know which of the items I followed but it now works. Now what caused the change? Oh yes 14 yr. old G'daughter was on it yesterday, I'll blame her as I usually do whenever there's a hickup. Even when she hasn't been here! wide-load
That solved it pops, don't know which of the items I followed but it now works. Now what caused the change? Oh yes 14 yr. old G'daughter was on it yesterday, I'll blame her as I usually do whenever there's a hickup. Even when she hasn't been here! You are probably right about the Granddaughter causing it. She (or you) probably closed out FF. When you do it asks "Do you want Firefox to save your Tabs for the next time it opens?" It allows you to select Save or Cancel. It also has a tickbox the says "Don't ask me the next time". Someone probably exited FF without saving tabs and also ticked the "Don't ask....." box. That's the reason you lost the option to save Tabs. But now everything is back like you want it.
