TCTECH
I have just loaded windows XPpro onto an HP laptop, as well as installing all of the drivers needed for the new install. whenever the laptop is turned on it does not recognize that it is connected to the internet. I have to reload the machine 4-5 times before it finds the driver. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for the ethernet card and the wireless card. nothing seems to be keeping the driver in place. any advice other than reloading the OS would be much welcomed. thank you
Hb_Kai
Have you tried checking that it's connected to the bits and pieces inside your computer properly?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Check Device Manager for any devices appearing with a yellow exclamation mark. You can use DriverMax to find missing, unknown, or outdated device drivers. (Use the free version that allows up to two driver downloads per day.)
TCTECH
in reply to both responses, 1 its a laptop and everything is embedded onto the board I've tried cracking it open already, and 2 the drivers ARE there because it works after 3-5 restarts. but therein lies the problem, it takes 3-5 restarts for it to find the drivers. catgate
Are you talking Shutdown>Reboot or just Reset?
