Rimbik
I was using: - System Type: Accer Aspire Laptop - O/S - Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise - SP1 - External Surround Sound System (Intex)I was very happy with the system and mainly used my Laptop to listen songs in full volume (3000 wts)I installed Service Pack 2 as Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 PreRequisite. After that my life is like in Hell. My speaker works but without Surround , There is no woofer effect.I realized that it installed Media Player 10 on top of My MP 9. I tried a lot to restore my Sound Quality by reinstalling sound crad drivers & device drivers but failed. I uninstalled SP2 from my system then too no result. Media Player still sucks, it is 10 yet. Not backed to 9. I have no option to uninstall Media Player 10 , neither from Add/Remove in control panel nor from the System registry key:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UninstallAll Media Player, Real, WinAmp, 3GP Player behaving same.I AM JUST MAD NOW, WANT TO LISTEN SONG In FULL VOLUME.Regards,Soumen,
Boris
Stupid question for me to ask - but why are you using a Server O/S on a laptop ?
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Although most service packs can be uninstalled, it is always highly recommended to make a full backup before installing it; did you do it?If not, then there are a number of steps that can be tried:install all updates that have become available since SP2 (2007!)check for updated drivers (DriverMax)check the Sound properties (Control Panel)
