custumize xp to make most of two monitors

okay they finally got around to replacing my two inch monitor at work with two nice flat screen ones :D and I figured it would be best to take 5 min now to setup my system for maximum productivity in the future (plus I'm curious and killing time while I wait for a meeting to start). I'm working on the assumption that if I can think of it, and I know it's not too hard to code, that XP has it somehow...

So first and most importantly I would like to control which window an application opens on when I click on it. And if that isn't hard enough I would like to take it a step farther and have two IE applications open at bootup, one for each screen. In fact I would like to be able to treat the two IE as separate version, different home pages, possible different search settings ect, but I don't know if that is practical. I would install chrome and just use two browsers, one for each screen, but I think the IT guys frown on installing unknown software on our 'secure' computers.

Secondly I would like to extend the start menu to the second monitor as well, or better yet have a separate start menu for each monitor. That way apps on one monitor would show on it's start menu rather then on the other one. Having a second start menu and qucklaunch bar would save me from having to cross 'all the way' over to the other monitor to start an application (yeah I'm lazy heh). Plus I really miss not having a clock on the bottom of my screen. I'm a bit obsessive about knowing how much of the work day I have left (oh look only 4/9 of a day left and I'm out of here... :P).

Finally if anyone else has any cool suggestions for ways to customize my new computer and monitors that you feel everyone should try I would love to hear them.

I don't know how to do it, but I've seen 2 monitors on one XP computer. Some one used it to show me that Firefox was faster than Internet Explorer at downloading the same page from a website. It seemed to be true.
