geordie_john Posted December 25, 2009 Report Share Posted December 25, 2009 hello i have just bought an Acer Aspire laptop with Vista and i would like to install Windows 7 ultimate 64 biti put the dvd in drive and tried hitting f11 and f10 but it just carries on going to vista,does anyone know how i can boot from dvd please?thank you. -pops- Posted December 25, 2009 Report Share Posted December 25, 2009 Windows 7 is different to previous versions in that it will load and install from a currently running installation - no need to boot from CD etc.This should be explained in the booklet that is provided with the disk or, if you're using the special student edition, on the reseller's website.
