Hi,

recently updated to windows 7. Have installed my Office XP professional and would like to install all the updates I had on my old PC. Unfortunately, I keep getting the have to be an administrator message to access the the updates and that I might need an administrators help if accessing the web through a network. I am logged in as an administrator on the PC, I am accessing the web through a BT homehub, wirelessly, and wonder how I go about solving the problem? Any help appreciated.

Would it be easier to download these afresh from the Office Update site? You can be more assured then that they are not corrupted by doing your own transfer from a pre-existing installation.

This is the message I get when I try to update on the microsoft website:

[Error number: 0x8DDD0002]

To install updates from this website, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group on your computer. If you use Windows XP, you can see if you are an administrator by going to User Accounts in Control Panel.
