bmcgonag Posted January 12, 2010 Report Share Posted January 12, 2010 I have a PC, running XP Pro, the on board graphics card is dying or dead. Once in a while I'll get about 3 minutes out of it before it dies on me, but usually it won't come on at all. I purchased a new card for it and inserted it into the PCI express slot only to find that upon connecting everything and turning the pc on, the graphics still don't come on. Apparently windows does not have drivers for this card, not even generic will work I guess, so I need to run the driver CD in order to get it going, but since I can't get the on board graphics card to work, I need a work around. I though if only I could VNC in, but I can't...not setup. Then I thought...is there a way to install drivers to the windows drive from a boot CD, like UBCD, or Linux Live CD or something?Any help is appreciated...I think the card is by VESA...not sure of the model.
