Wirelss installation reset windows password!!

Hello,

I just installed a Belkin 150N wireless router. Got it going on an old PB (cable) and a Vaio (wireless) no problem.

I installed a network connection on the Vaio and got it going while the network was unsecured and then put a password on it and amended the connection. On the reboot the Vaio connected without a hitch.

Then I updated Spyware Doctor and Java on it and ran an intelliscan in Spyware Doctor. After the scan the Vaio crashed (the first time) and when it restarted the Windows password was not recognised. I do not have a password reset disk! Is it a reinstall job and what do you think happened that caused the problem?

Any help much appreciated.

Okay, I didn't know that.

In any case I turned off the wireless modem on the laptop and it reverted back. The windows password was accepted once I booted it up again. It may be that the security setting on the modem put its password on the opening logon screen but I can never recall that occurring before. In any case the problem has been solved. I'll be sure to have a reset disk made in case it happens again.
