Yesterday I was running the program "everest" on my laptop and it crashed (but everything else worked fine). I couldn't get it to end and couldn't end the process in task manager so I just held in the power button until the laptop turned off. Ever since then Windows won't load and just stays on the "Windows XP" screen with the load bar that just got left-to-right indefinitely. It tried to boot up in safe mode but it also freezes up while booting (I recall it freezes on something like "MUP.sys"?).After that didn't work I decided I would just do a repair so I stuck my CD in and it started loading Windows. It got the part where it says Windows is starting, and it just freezes there.Any idea what the hell is going on? The disc is fine I've used it lots recently, there's something going on with the laptop. I had to install Linux just to get on here. Thanks for your help!George. When installing Linux I tried formatting the drive and it said something about cluster errors. There were errors with 16 clusters or something like that and Linux advised me to run "dskchk" and reboot twice; however, I cannot run dskchk because I can't get that far!Can anyone help?Thanks again.
