Alan2273 Posted March 5, 2010 Report Share Posted March 5, 2010 That error is generally associated with a corruption in the Windows registry, do you have an install disk?how long have you had this problem and have you tried a system restore?. RayG362 Posted March 6, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 I ran that scan because it came up by itself and said to run it and I did and that was the error message that I got after it completed. I'm begining to wonder if that was a legitiment web site from Microsoft. ???? After I ran it, it said to tell all your friends and that it was free. Come back as often as you want. I have since run a registry scan which came up with about 50 errors which were fixed and everything seems to be better. Also I did a restore.
