getting rid of custom boot screen

Hello, friend has an old Toshiba Satellite Pro, which was owned by his employers, but which he was allowed to keep when he was made redundant. He has given the laptop to his daughter and she would like to get rid of the employers logo which appears before the XP splash screen comes along. I expect that I can disable it from the BIOS, but there is no info on the customized screen to tell me which keys to press to get into the BIOS, the whole setup is different to the usual screens. Can anyone advise please?

The big problem with these customized programs is that the method of dealing with them is likewise customized and there is no standard way of getting to their inner workings.

If you really need to remove the customization then a fresh install is about the easiest way to go about it.

It the custom logo is no more than a minor nuisance then I suggest that you try to ignore it as you can cause untold difficulties if things don't go quite as you expect or hope for.
