Why Does It Claim Not Enough Disk Space To Copy?

I have winxp sp2.

I recently got a 1 Terabyte external drive and I'm moving stuff onto it.

Yesterday I tried to move a 5 gig file and I got a message 'not enough free disk space'.

The file is actually 5339432kb

Earlier I moved a file of just more than 4gig without a problem.

Is there some mysterious barrier at 5gig here or something?

regards,

ab :)

p.s.

WOOPS........ Fat32 isn't it? I just remembered. 4gig size limit.

I need to convert to NTFS.

If I could I'd delete the question, the whole thread, but I don't think I can do that.

So just assume I've answered the questions myself and the thread is done.

:)
