Japanese Language problem

Hello,

I'm having problems with the language tools. I want to play some japanese games but I know you need to change the language to japanese in order to play them, so I installed the "Install Files for East Asian Languages" from my Windows XP Servive Pack 2. I rebooted and went back to the advanced option inside the "Regional and Language Options"

In the advanced section I know you must put japanese in the "Language for non-Unicode Programs" I can see it there in the list. But when I choose and click apply this message appears:

"Setup was unable to install the chosen locale. Please contact your system administrator."

All the guides Ive seen for changing the lang to japanese, say just click apply or ok and done. I have no idea why Im getting this problem. Can anyone please help me out?

Fins someone else with a functioning Win XP install. Make sure it's the same type as yours (pro or home, language etc)

Copy this file from the other XP :

c:\windows\inf\intl.inf

use it to replace your intl.inf (but make sure to make a copy of the original ,in case anything goes wrong)

reboot

Apply locale

Installing XP SP3 may also do the trick.
