Incorrect Shutdown Log

Recommended Posts

Hi,

New here and a nice place you have if i must say, A Big Hello to you all.

"only thing i must say is the Login "Sign In" writing is in white with the white background"

I have a small issue and need some assistance,

I have a client who is running a Computer in an area where they are receiving a lot of Power Cuts

I advised the client there Maintenance does not support Power cuts or weather Damage

Anyway, i have had there machine back here 3 times in 5 months with Corrupted windows or Unable to Detect the HD

I know its down to the Power Cuts as a member of Staff have told me at there business.

But that is not enough to go to the Director of the Company with,

So what i ask from you, is there a way the system can record incorrect shutdown,

To be more on the nail, When the machine is Suddenly turned off by

A. the Power button,

B. The Mains,

C. Power Cuts

I understand that once the machine is turned off, then there is no possible way for it to record. As the machine is off.

But how about on the start-up, Normally the system does a Check disk?

Am Aware if a system is shutdown Incorrect i.e. they start to shut it down then force it to turn off,

then it normally records something in the Log-viewer,

But with a Powercut am having a very hard time to say its there fault i see nothing in the log viewer, and i have tested this on a old system,

Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks for your time, and in advance thanks for any support you can offer in this matter
