Windows (live) mail client

Recommended Posts

I (still) use Eudora, but want to use a more modern system. Have W7 prof and 64 bits proc.

I tried to install a local e-mail client from Microsoft. I downloaded wlivesetup-web.exe and wlsetup-all.exe and installed both. But I still have no working e-mail client. I note 2 exe files , wlmail.exe and winmail.exe.

wlmail only says::

'possibly not installed correctly, not enough memory space 0x80041161' is the messgage. I have ample hard disk space and 4 gB memory, so why?

I tried to repair the installation with wlarp.exe, did not help.

Winmail.exe appears twice: in program files (64) and in (32 (x86) but nothing happens when I click on it.

What is my error and how do I solve this, Please help!

Ch

All that you need is the download shown below. Can you do a system restore, or do you have a back up in a program like Acronis? I would delete all that you installed and clean up with C Cleaner first.cool.gif

Windows live mail

That's not the problem: I've found out now that Microsoft does not support the Live Mail client on Windows7, it's even illegal to install that way I was told.
