Normally I don't need to ask any questions about windows as they usually get answered by a quick google search, But this time is different because I'm dealing with my friends Vista HP laptop.Im trying to install the first service pack in order to update to Windows 7, but the installer runs for a while without doing anything, then gives me the 101139 error. I made sure there are minimum processes running, and i tried Windows Update but it just keeps searching.. I downloaded the SP1 from Microsofts site. Any suggestions before i just install over Vista?
