Mindhead
Well, hi, before anything, I'm not an english speaker so I apologise if my grammar or my orthography is bad =P. I hope you can understand ^^.My problem is the following:I have Windows XP on my computer and a XScroll Genius USB mouse. A couple of weeks ago, a friend tried to install a digitizing tablet, it all went well, the problem was that every time I started Windows after that, the OS try to install the tablet again (as a Human Interface Device), I checked and in the Device Mangager there were very devices of the type HID, well, the thing is that I uninstall the wrong one firts (the mouse). The problem now is that XP, every time I start the OS, tries to install the USB mouse again (the tablet was correctly uninstalled), and, although the mouse seems to work well (the buttons and the wheel fulfill their functionality), I can't install it because no matter what I try (let Windows search the right driver from web, download and install the driver from Genius, select the device I'm going to install from a list, plug the mouse in the other USB slots, I even reinstalled the drivers of my motherboard because I thought it could be the USB drivers, etc), it always ends up in this error:The translation of this dialog box is:This hardware can't be installedThere was a problem during the installation of the hardware:[Mouse Image] MouseError in device installationAccess DeniedI need help!... If anyone knows how to deal with this I'll be very grateful... At least I want Windows to stop trying to install this device (and only this device) at startup... Thank you very much in advance =P... -pops-
What about a System Restore to a time before all of this happened?
Mindhead
The problem is that my last restauration point is too far in the past (like a month ago)... But I guess that will be my last resource u.u...
