Ok, I'm not so good with computers..and this is my problem. Whenever I restart my computer, it goes to the desktop and then freezes for no reason. A solution that I found was to log off and on with task manager. But it still annoys me..help please?

Is this a desktop machine?

A common cause of start-up freezing is a power supply unit being too small.

At start-up a computer draws quite a lot of power just to "get things going" after which everything calms down to what it should be. If the PSU is unable to offer this power it will either shut down or, as in your case, freeze.

Do you know the size (wattage) of the power unit?

Just a thought.
